       in a hurried life

in a hurried life
you might run your tongue along
a picket fence, learn

about splinters, you
might conclude that the Disprin
pill moon is insol-

uble, you might put
your net around one God, then
get stung by the hive.

in a hurried life
you might find instructions for
grieving, you might have

ration books for dreams.
in a hurried life you might
forget to climb through

the man-hole of sky
