Seaside Suicide

The sea whispers softly
reminders of folly
of starlit beginnings
and rain-shrouded ends.

Foam breaking and spitting
in nature's dismissal
and nature says this'll
be all that I'll say:

You're flattering, silly.

But I've seen greater drama
in the opera of otters.
