Monday's Poem

Divorce

(after Roo Borson)

The sky: fingerprint on a diamond.

Dark sweat sucked up by the sun.
A young moon between two planets.
A raven chortling at dawn.
Rain plonking on a toy drum.

Richard Arnold has published in many North American journals, and has a chapbook (Fuse) from Leaf Press and a haiku pamphlet from Island Scholastic to his credit. He lives near Errington, BC on a modest acreage, much of which his twelve-year-old daughter is planning to steal and give to her horse.
