Heart attack
for MVR, 1968–2011
Wormy apple.
Balled fist. Fingers going white,
bloody marks on your palm –
suckerpunch.
Filet mignon on a plate,
spoiling.
Obstinate dud.
To be disposed of.
Red/blue wires crossed.
Bloody handful.
The house you grew up in,
on fire.
Rotten egg & the hand cupping it
& the arm pitching it.
Jerky knee
to the nuts.
Jack in the box
with a bent lid. Its jaunty tune.
